Out of Hours

If you require urgent medical attention between the hours of 6.30 p.m. until 8 am every day and on Bank Holidays and weekends the GP Out of Hours Service provides care.  They can be accessed by telephoning 111.

If you have a medical problem that cannot wait until the surgery routinely opens or In life threatening Emergencies such as severe bleeding , collapse, unconsciousness and severe chest pains:  TELEPHONE 999 IMMEDIATELY

To contact a doctor out of hours, always phone 111. You may receive advice from a trained nurse or a doctor may ask you to meet him/her at a surgery, visit you at home or give you advice.

Hywel Dda Local Health Board is responsible for commissioning this service.

The Out of Hours Service can access patient information held at Meddygfa Emlyn but only with your consent (you will be asked for consent each time you contact Out of Hours).  Further information can be obtained from the NHS Direct website NHS Direct
